Seated Amma
Principles
Amma = soothe by touch
The seated Amma originates from the traditional Chinese art of massage and was introduced to Japan some 1300 years ago.
Concentration on pressure points rapidly results in stress release, reactivation, and a sensation of physical well-being.
Numerous manipulations enable the massee to rediscover suppleness which has often lain dormant and fully relax the entire back.
This manual well-being technique adapts perfectly to today’s world: a seated Amma session lasts around 20 minutes with the massee remaining clothed.
Benefits
This exercise, combining tonicity with a range of movements, is aimed at:
- unblocking the energy in your back or stomach
- releasing stress
- facilitating concentration
- creating day-long vitality
